Import Winter Preparation Tips

Preparing Your Import For Winter

Keep Your Import Healthy This Winter

Making sure that your import vehicle is prepared for the winter ensures that your vehicle performs at its intended level all year long. Below we have listed some tips on keeping your automobile healthy during one of the toughest seasons of the year.

Winter Months - Driving

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE

Here at Kudos Luxury Import, we want to educate our customers on how to keep their Audi, BMW, Volvo, Porsche, or other import model in proper repair for the colder season. The first step in ensuring that your automobile will be ready for the winter months, is to check all of your vehicle's fluids. Replace any fluids that need to be replaced, and double check that your oil is in good condition. Second, have all of your vehicle's hoses and clamps inspected; if they are in bad shape, have them repaired. Lastly, inspect your battery’s levels, and be on the lookout for any corrosion that may have built up around the posts.
EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE

If they haven’t been replaced in a while, adding a new set of wiper blades will ensure that snow and ice can be properly swept from the window during those surprise flurries. Also, you want to ensure that all defrost vents and defroster grids are working properly. This will keep ice covered windshields from being a major issue down the road. Lastly, if your climate calls for them, consider switching your car’s tires to ones better suited to the snow. Taking the time to perform this simple maintenance will help to ensure that your Volvo, BMW, or other import won’t become damaged during the winter and need repairs come summer time.
